GT at Stif

GT Bicycles inspires a passion for riding by celebrating the brand’s roots in dirt and street culture. Since building GTs first BMX bike in 1972, GT has remained true to sharing the stoke on two wheels which the brand was founded on because, after all, you can’t have Good Times without ‘GT’!

We're delighted to welcome GT Bicycles to the Stif family for 2023 and beyond.

Sensor ST

Brand New for 2023, the Sensor ST blurs the lines between a short and mid travel bike, opening up endless capabilities. We were pretty excited when we first saw the specs for this one - lots of audible ‘Ooooh’s went around the shop - something about a 120mm rear end and a 140mm fork makes this bike sound a lot of fun!

First rides didn’t disappoint either - the ST is poppy & responsive, allowing you to turn any trail into a playground. It’ll boost lips and roost corners with the best of them, but it’s no one-trick jib pony. That same responsiveness translates to an efficient climber that’s happy to navigate the techiest up’s and will turn on a dime making lightwork of root laden switchbacks of off-camber loam sections

Spot-on geo numbers make the ST the perfect choice for big days in the saddle too, 29” wheels will eat up the miles whether you’re headed out for a big adventure or chasing sunsets on an after-work power hour.

The 140mm front end and 65. 4° head angle inspire confidence on the descents, making the ST feel way more capable than you’d expect a ‘short-travel’ bike to be. The proven LTS platform remains balanced and predictable yet agile - you’ll quickly forget the numbers and point the ST at whatever feels the most fun.

The ST doesn’t come with labels out of the box, if you’re an XC rider, then it’s an XC bike, if you’re downcountry, jibber, adventurer or just about anything else you’ll need 2 wheels to subscribe to, the ST is right there with you.

Sensor

Brand new in all but name, the Sensor has been re-imagined from the ground up for 2023. Now a dedicated mid travel trail ripper, the Sensor has realised its full potential and brings new life to old haunts.

Lighter, sleeker and with refined geometry, the new Sensor ticks every box and punches well above the weight it's pricing suggests.

The combination of 140mm LTS driven rear suspension, a burly 150mm travel fork and 29” wheels makes the Sensor a remarkably capable all rounder, perfectly suited to UK trails. Composed and responsive on the climbs, the Sensor doesn’t need you to take the fire road to get to the top, it’s more than happy devouring switchbacks and techy climbs for as many miles as your legs can take. Generous reach measurements and a steep seat-tube angle mean the Sensor is ready for long days in the saddle.

The internet would have you believe there's no such thing as a do-it-all bike these days, but the Sensor comes about as close as you'll get to hitting that sweet-spot. . . regardless of whatever trendy name is doing the rounds - if it's mountain biking, the Sensor has it covered. From a quick after-work XC flavoured power hour, through weekend trail center laps and a day between the tape racing Enduro, the Sensor thrives whatever you point it at.

If you're only gonna have one bike, the Sensor could well be the one.

eForce

It's no secret we're big fans of eBikes here at Stif. Despite all the huffing that goes on in comment sections around the web, we're yet to find a mountain biker who hasn't returned from their first eBike lap grinning from ear to ear. Chances are, if you've made it to this page, you already know just how much fun they are. GT took their time to take their first-steps into the eBike world, but they've absolutely nailed it on their first go.

This eForce Amp from GT turns the fun up to 11 from the moment you throw a leg over it. Mid-travel, a proven suspension platform and geometry that's modern but relatively conservative means you're immediately at home. It's a mountain biker's mountain bike, just one that has the ability to unlock more miles, more laps and more fun in every ride.

Built around the fantastic Shimano Steps EP8 platform paired with a 630wh battery and rolling on 29" wheels, there's very little you could put in the eForce's way that it won't overcome. GT's LTS 4-Bar linkage platform and solid Rockshox offerings at either end keep the bike planted and predictable no matter how steep the climb or rowdy the descent. The eForce's ability to keep calm and devour a climb yet inspire buckets of confidence on the descents is a testament to the R&D GT have put into the bike, as is the well thought out spec.

Keeping an eBike wallet friendly is no mean feat. Their ability to generate speed and plough through the gnarliest terrain means the prospect of finding some corners were cut to hit a price point mid-ride could be terrifying. Fortunately, GT have nailed the spec on the eForce too. It's not dripping in 'factory' everything, but it's premium where it matters and solid and reliable everywhere else - all you'll have to worry about is how much fun you're having. .

La Bomba

GT was born as a BMX Brand in 1972, so with 50 years of experience in 'little wheels' it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that their 26" jump bike offering is the epitome of 'good times'!

The La Bomba's BMX roots are immediately obvious, with smart horizontal dropouts for a dedicated single-speed setup, gyro tabs to unlock limitless barspins and tailwhips and a bombproof construction that'll happily cruise through the biggest jumps in the world on the Crankworx tour.

A solid spec means the La Bomba is ready to rip straight-out of the box. The Manitou Circus Expert fork is a staple of the dirt jumper scene, offering enough adjustability to dial-in the perfect response whether you're hitting the trails, the park or the streets.

3-piece cranks with a 25t chainring and a pivotal seatpost are welcome acquisitions from the BMX world. Kenda 3-Sixty tyres are the perfect combination of fast-rolling and grippy, suited to anything from wooden skateparks to dusty trails.

If you're a mountain biker looking to up your game on the trails, nothing gives higher returns on your investment than a dirt jumper. Own the rollers and turns of your local pump track and the skills mastered translate directly into more speed and more fun on the trail.

The La Bomba Pro is an amazing package - not just amazing for it's price - the performance & build quality far exceeded our expectations and have won over anyone who's been even remotely curious. The La Bomba has quickly become a staff favourite - if you see us on the trails, chances are we're having a great time on one of these! There's practically nothing else on our shelves that offers this much fun at this price. If you're thinking about one, do it! You'll not be sorry!
